Street Village is separated from the outskirts of north west
Guildford by the slimmest of margins! This attractive spot
lies but a short distance away from the County Town's suburban areas
of Park Barn and Rydes Hill. Wood
Street homes surround a large green and the atmosphere is
immediately rural with Broadstreet Common to the south
leading towards open countryside and onwards to the Hogs Back.
The
convenience of living in this village is obvious with Guildford so
close, but although the railway line runs just to the south of the
village the nearest station is to be found in neighbouring Wanborough
or Guildford itself.
Frog Grove Lane leading out of the village away from Guildford
runs into a more open rural area where sporadic caravan sites and
residents can be found in the vicinity.
