Bobby Bell and Martin
Colvill founded the company that bears their name some thirty
years ago in March 1970. Born with a passion for
cars there was little chance that they were not destined to a
life in the motor trade.
Their passion also spilled into motor racing, both competing
extensively over the years with a good deal of success, which
served to further develop and fine tune their knowledge of
performance cars and motor sport.
This shared interest
understandably steered Bell and Colvill to specialise in cars
that combined excitement and individuality with value.
Immediately their
attention turned to Lotus who have continuously produced a range
of sports cars that perfectly match those ideals. This
association combined with their energy and enthusiasm throughout
the past thirty years has enabled Bell and Colvill to become the
largest and most successful Lotus dealer in the world.

More recently Lotus
introduced the Lotus Elise, an ultimate enthusiasts car, equally
at home being raced, sprint/hill climbed or used to drive to
work every day. Drawing extensively on the knowledge
and experience gained during their own racing careers Bobby and
Martin introduced a range of responsible well developed
modifications to further enhance the handling and performance of
these exciting cars.
During the past two years,
to further their knowledge and to prove the quality of their
modifications, Bobby and Martin entered two Sport Elise and an
Elise Super 160 in the 750 Motor Club Road Sports
Championships.

The
Subaru Forrester
|
The Bell and Colvill team
achieved an overall victory for the championship as well as
class wins and many lap records throughout the two
seasons. In addition they have provided considerable
assistance to customers also wishing to be involved in the
sport, in particular enabling one satisfied client to be second
in the championship during his first every year of competitive
motor sport. Their dealership is ideally located in
the heart of the Surrey countryside and yet only few
minutes drive from Guildford, Woking and
Leatherhead. With the addition of the Saab franchise
approximately twenty years ago and the Subaru and Isuzu
franchises during the 90's, Bell and Colvill have undoubtedly
achieved their original aim and ambition to provide their
customers with a choice of cars that genuinely combine
excitement and individuality with value. Indeed they
can truly provide something for
everyone. Here's to the next thirty
years!
