Concorde which flies out of Heathrow Airport
|
urrey is in touch and in
vogue! This diverse, fashionable and ever popular County
is just a stone's throw from London and the world's two busiest
international airports at Heathrow and Gatwick. Understandably
Surrey has rapidly grown in popularity especially as a commuter
belt with large built up areas in the north of the County.
However, fine examples of its history are
still set deep within areas of
outstanding natural beauty, vibrant market towns and picturesque
villages. This combination of convenient location and
preservation of heritage is Surrey's strength and pride.

rural scene from Sutton Abinger

The
extent of Surrey's wonderful countryside is often underestimated, but in fact the county has no less than
86 golf courses and 32 National Trust sites. The North Downs
and Surrey Hills hide many spots of great natural beauty, there is so much to
be discovered from
cosy
pubs to large vineyards! Many famous
authors, artists and composers such as Tennyson, Turner and
Vaughan-Williams have been inspired by Surrey's magnificent
landscapes.
Living in Surrey is a
nice blend of being in the country but not far from London.
Easy access to the M25, M3, A3 and M4 corridors and just a
hop and a skip to Heathrow or Gatwick for those quick
romantic getaways.
