Our Future
We are renowned for "local knowledge" which we are happy to share with you.  Detailed area information has always been our focus with a choice of currently available, quality homes from our participating estate agents and developers.  In addition we welcome contributions from the local community and seek to support local businesses.  We place particular importance on schools information and we are expanding sections on health and dining out... there is much more to come.  To complement the site we have editorial comment and features on lifestyle choices too.  

Written from the consumer's point of view, we want to help you make the right choice, from moving home to having a great hair cut!   Above all we're here as a guide to save you time (we know how precious it is) ~ surely that's a good move!

Our History
First inspiration for The Good Move Guide^® simply came from realising moving home was hard work!  The stresses experienced as a consumer provided the incentive to write the original Good Move Guide book. General, easy-to-read advice was accompanied by a particular local knowledge of  Surrey.  This combination proved a winner with consumers and advertisers alike.   

First published in 1996 The Good Move Guide^®  sold through W. H. Smiths and quickly became the publication of choice for those moving to and living in Surrey.   The book was acclaimed as 'the house-hunter's bible' by the local newspaper.  Driven by the enormous success of the book we have grown and expanded to the point where we are now launching The Good Move Guide^® onto the ever popular Worldwide Web.  Starting in Surrey we soon aim to be nationwide.  

"High Quality" has always been our overall mission where we concentrate on services, suppliers and businesses that contribute to a high standard of living ~  just turn to the The Good Move Guide^®  after all its "the talk of the town".
