The Forest located between the Aravalli mountain range was announced as a wildlife sanctuary in the year 1980. It covers a wide area of approximately 288 so kilometers. It is a subtropical forest which has a vast iety flora and fauna species.It has also traced of past habitation of the lion and the tiger but as of now the major feline predator found is the Leopard.
Guru Shikar
Guru Shikar is the highest point in mount Abu and also makes the highest point in the Aravalli mountain range. The place is perfect to get a panoramic view of the entire region. It is also popular for its temple of Guru Dattatreya. It is a personification of the Hindu Deities Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva in one.
